“Thank You… ” At that moment he had done something he never thought he would do to Loki- And he meant it. All he had ever wanted to do since leaving Afghanistan was to be able to close his eyes and escape it all. For year’s he has been deprived of a peaceful sleep, constantly tormented by his scarring memories. A single tear rolled down his cheek as he came to terms with how different his life will be now.
Nodding once Loki’s finger traced up to capture the tear. “No more horrible dreams, and although my company is not the most preferable at the best of times. I will be here on Midgard for the duration of four years….if you wish to speak I will listen.” A small grin covered his face, “And quite possibly give my completely asinine and biased opinion.”
He nodded a little, agreeing. “Four years is a long time, you know”
Her brows furrowed just slightly as his hand cupped her chin, his thumb pulled her lip from her teeth into slight pout that she could stop. She felt like a lovesick teenager standing there while he called her pet names and undressed her with his eyes. She even opened her mouth to tell him it was true, her voice wouldn’t work, which caused her to blush darkly. Ridley’s eyes dropped to a spot on his chest, she could feel her cheeks burning, even as she was mentally screaming at herself.
Loki’s grin returned as his other hand came up to cradle her face, “What is it little bird?” His voice was soft as his hands trailed down to her hips. Slowly and gently he pulled her forward, her smaller form pressed lightly against his own. “Have you forgotten how to sing?” His head tilted as the grin took on a feral note. “Perhaps I should teach you a new song.” Slowly he leant down to nuzzle her neck, drawing in a deep breath. “You smell of strength..and loyalty and youth…how very wonderful.”
The voice in her head was screaming at her still. He’s teasing me. This couldn’t be the man that she’d heard so much about. He was..gentle. She squeaked, literally when he pulled her against him. Sing? What does that…Ooh. Ridley quickly figured out what he meant when his face brushed against her neck. She smelled of those things? “That..doesn’t make sense..How do I smell like those things?” She finally speaks, and she asks a question like that.
His laugh was deep as he grinned into the skin of her neck. “Ah little bird, you amuse me so. You are…pure of heart.” Loki’s lips rested lightly on her pulse, his hands pulling her closer. Breath ghosting over her skin as he continued, “You have a deep seated innocence that is purely..delightful. That…my little one is why you smell of these things.” Lifting his head he looked her in the eye and smiled widely before settling his lips over hers, barely brushing. “May I kiss you little bird?”
Ridley shivered at his laugh, she could only imagine the thoughts in his head, her imagination made her weak in the knees. Little bird..She hated pet names, but she didn’t have the courage to correct him, or maybe she liked the sound of it. She gasped at the feel of his lips on her neck, closing her eyes tightly. Something in her mind screamed for her to get away, the rest of her ignored the voice. His mouth wasn’t on her neck anymore, she opened her eyes with momentary feeling that she’d made it up in her head. She was looking into his eyes, so close. His mouth was just barely touching her and she opened her’s to answer, hoping her voice still worked. “..Y-yes..”
Lips lifting in a slight smirk he pressed forward. His lips molding across hers in a chaste kiss. Loki’s hand came up to run his fingers into her hair as he slanted his mouth over Ridley’s and lightly traced her bottom lip with the tip of his tongue before pulling back to look her in the eye. “Beautiful.” Searching her face for something unnameable, he leant forward once more to capture her mouth with his own.
“Of course you do Agent Barton. Just as I have every right to come and apologize for my horrendous actions against you.”
Clint was not expecting that, and he was shocked into silence for a moment. When he finally found his voice, it was filled with confusion. “W-what did you say?”
Loki’s smirk grew as he clasped his hands behind his back, “Apologies Agent Barton. I’ve come to make my apologies for the way I treated you.” Tilting his head he regarded him from bottom to top. “Does it seem so far fetched?”
“Yeah, it does actually.” Clint wasn’t sure what to believe, his whole fiber of his being telling him not to believe Loki. “How do I know that this isn’t some way to gain my trust?”
“Simple Agent Barton. I want nothing from you. I will ask nothing of you and I will leave here knowing that I did my part in seeking your forgiveness.” Holding up his hands his smile grew. “No harm done.”
“Thank You… ” At that moment he had done something he never thought he would do to Loki- And he meant it. Tilting his head to regard Tony for a silent moment, Loki narrowed his eyes. “It was you who called to me Tony Stark. Your begging and pleading for someone to release you…All on Asgard could hear it.” A light blush stained his cheeks, “It seems as if I was the only one bothered by such noise….”
“I…” it took a while for it to sink in. How could they all hear him, if everyone at Stark Tower couldnt?
“Twas louder to some more than others…but all heard you. Most didn’t know who it was of course.” Loki leant back slightly to catch his eyes. “It was not conscious thought that brought me here Tony. It was your subconscious that cried out.”
At hearing that Tony felt absolutely humiliated - Everybody on a different world could hear him.
Searching his gaze for only a moment, Loki reached forward and captured his face in his hands, “Listen to me very carefully…there is not a single being living that does not have some kind of fear.” Green eyes bore into Tony’s, “I too have called for help, begged and pleaded for reprieve…but none came.” The blush deepened, “I simply did not want you to have to suffer the same fate.”
At hearing that he died a little inside. Loki, of all people, didn’t want him to suffer. He had suffered, many a time he had. But most people passed it off as Post Traumatic Stress, not thinking of what he may actually be going through. People cared for his celebrity status, not for his personal issues. He looked at Loki, meeting his gaze.
Searching his eyes for a moment, Loki brushed the dark circles under his eyes gently with his thumbs. “I cannot begin to fathom the pain you are in just as you cannot fathom mine. However, I have blocked your nightmares. You will sleep peacefully now and devote your waking hours to healing.”

Tony eyed him, listening to his words understand what he was saying “..But you kissed me to do it? I don’t even..”
Waving a hand his smile faded, “Do not worry yourself over particulars. You agreed to my help and I gave it. There were no specified terms as to what was appropriate. That was the only sure way to insure the block would work successfully.”
Tony nodded, and the chuckled at how rediculous it sounded. “Well you can be sure as hell if i start getting your dreams instead of nothing i’ll be paying a visit to your mouth to get mine back, i don’t want someones second hand dream”He thought over what he had just said as it left his outh and rased an eyebrow at himself over how strange it sounded.
Almost laughing outright, Loki turned to look at him. His grin was wicked, “Would you Stark?” Coming closer he was once again in front of him, his hands coming to rest beside his head once more. “The enchantment does not work that way but I assure you I am more than willing to test your theory of retaliation.”
He raised his eyebrow a little, a smirk forming across his face “Oh would that be so? Being a scientist of sorts, testing theories comes as a hobby.”
Bringing his body closer, Loki smiled down at him. “Go ahead Stark, however, if you wished for my attentions…you need only ask.”
Tony held his finger up as if to stop him continuing “One thing. Why were you only hearing my nightmares and my reactions. Why not someone elses, You had a whole world of people. Why me?”

His smile grew, “Come now little bird. Surely you cannot still hold a grudge. After all,” he held out his hands to the side, “I have been…rehabilitated.”
“Right, sure you have.” Clint glanced up at Loki, hoping that they didn’t show the fear that he was feeling. “And I have every damn right to hold a grudge against you.”
“Of course you do Agent Barton. Just as I have every right to come and apologize for my horrendous actions against you.”

Loki followed his nod with one of his own, a soft sigh leaving his lips, “Alright. You must trust me.” Lips quirked into a small smirk, “I know this is an enormous feat, however, I require that you close your eyes.” His hands came up to cup his face, thumbs tracing gently the dark circles beneath his eyes. “I will not hurt you.”
He slowly closed his eyes, fearing what he may do, but at the same time welcoming it, saying nothing more than the words that escaped him “You would have done so already, i believe, if you meant to hurt me”
“Very astute of you Tony,” his voice was soft as he bent his head, capturing his lips with his own. A steady stream of cold air passed between their two mouths as Loki breathed into him. The air went white hot for a split second before Loki sucked all of the air out of Tony’s lungs a black mist passing from Tony’s mouth to Loki’s. Pulling back he moved away from him, “You should be fine now…..”
Tony gasped for air as his breath quickly left him. It took him a few seconds to gather himself to work out what happened, but in the process came up with something completely different “.Y-you just kissed me! That wasnt-.. what?!”
A smile tugged at the corner of Loki’s lips, “Your intelligence knows no bounds Stark.” Clearing his throat he shook his head as the smile grew, “I merely took your ability to dream, installed a….” his brow furrowed as he thought of the word…”wall of fire.” Looking back up at him he shrugged minutely, “You will not dream when you sleep.”
“Ahhh, Agent Barton..how wonderful to have you in my presence again.”
Clint tensed, it taking all of his strength not to just punch Loki in the face right there. “You.” He growled, but wasn’t looking at the god.
His smile grew, “Come now little bird. Surely you cannot still hold a grudge. After all,” he held out his hands to the side, “I have been…rehabilitated.”
